Updated: Aug 25, 2021

September 11, 2021 | 11:00am - 4:00pm

Look for an enormous yellow turbine runner at 680 Harrow Street, and you can’t miss this must-see Winnipeg attraction! Climb inside a streetcar, enjoy a 1940s kitchen, see HVDC transmission lines up close, and discover our enormous power stations. See our new Sustainable Development exhibit illustrating how Hydro power contributes to the goals of sustainability for our planet, its peoples and our environment. Interesting videos, Van der Graaf presentation and hands-on activities for children of all ages. This is the museums 20th anniversary year!

To help keep everyone safe, wearing a face mask is encouraged but not mandatory.

Guided tours will run every 30 minutes and be 30 minutes in length starting at 11:00 a.m., with the last tour departing at 4:00 p.m. The maximum capacity of the museum is 35 guests.

Preregistration is required for all tours! Preregistration will open Friday, September 3 at noon. Register at http://doorsopenwinnipeg.ca/.../manitoba-electrical.../
